How UHD BioHealth protocols work

Every UHD BioHealth protocol is a comprehensive clinical document built from your health questionnaire and assessed by two AHPRA-registered doctors, covering treatment, nutrition, movement and monitoring. Here is exactly what that looks like and why it matters.

Important: This page describes how UHD BioHealth structures its clinical service. It is not medical advice. All treatment decisions are made solely by AHPRA-registered prescribing doctors based on individual clinical assessment. Treatment is not guaranteed. Always consult a qualified doctor before making decisions about your health.

What is a UHD BioHealth protocol?

A UHD BioHealth protocol is a personalised clinical document prepared by an AHPRA-registered prescribing doctor and built specifically from your health questionnaire. It is not a template. It is a document written for you based on your goals, your health history, your current medications and your circumstances.

Every protocol covers more than just the proposed treatment. It maps out the full picture of what is being recommended and how to support it. You receive the complete document before you make any financial commitment.

The core principle at UHD BioHealth is that every patient who enquires deserves a thorough clinical assessment and a complete picture of their pathway, regardless of whether they choose to proceed. The protocol is yours whether you go ahead or not.

What is inside every protocol?

Every protocol prepared at UHD BioHealth covers the following areas as standard inclusions for every patient.

Proposed treatment plan. What the AHPRA-registered doctor has determined is clinically appropriate based on your health questionnaire and goals, including the treatment type, rationale and duration of the proposed protocol period.
Dosing schedule and administration instructions. Exactly how to use your treatment, the schedule across the protocol period, and clear administration guidance.
Nutrition guidance. Tailored nutritional direction that supports your treatment goal throughout the protocol period, written alongside the clinical content rather than as a separate afterthought.
Movement recommendations. Training and movement guidance that complements your clinical pathway, whether the goal is recovery, performance, weight management or longevity.
Monitoring requirements. What to track across the protocol period, what markers are relevant, and what to report. Blood work requirements are specified clearly where applicable.
Contraindications and clinical notes. Full detail on relevant contraindications based on your health questionnaire and medication history, including what to watch for and what to report immediately.
Full pricing before any commitment. Every cost associated with your protocol is presented in writing before you make any decision. Treatment, dispensing, delivery. All itemised and clear before anything is charged.

The two doctor review process

Every protocol at UHD BioHealth goes through two separate AHPRA-registered doctor reviews at different stages of the process. This is not a single sign-off. It is two independent assessments.

The first review happens at the assessment stage, where the doctor evaluates your health questionnaire and determines clinical appropriateness. The second review happens once the completed protocol document is prepared, before it reaches you.

This level of oversight is not common in the telehealth space. The two-stage process at UHD BioHealth exists because the protocol is a comprehensive clinical document and it deserves the scrutiny that reflects that.

How the process works from start to finish

01
Submit your health questionnaire
Complete a detailed health questionnaire covering your goals, health history, current medications, relevant lifestyle factors and budget expectations. This is the foundation everything is built from. No payment required at this stage.
02
Doctor assessment
An AHPRA-registered prescribing doctor reviews your questionnaire and makes the clinical determination on what is appropriate for your specific situation.
03
Protocol preparation
Where clinically appropriate, your personalised protocol is prepared covering all seven areas listed above. The document goes through a second AHPRA-registered doctor review before it is finalised.
04
You review everything and decide
Your complete protocol and full itemised pricing are sent to you in writing. You review every detail before making any decision. No pressure, no obligation. Walk away at any point at no cost.
05
Pharmacy and delivery
Once you approve, your protocol is sent to a licensed Australian compounding pharmacy, compounded fresh to your specific prescription and dispatched to your door. Allow 10 to 14 working days from when the prescription is sent.

Why this level of detail matters

The standard in telehealth is a short clinical assessment, a script, and a price. The patient then has to figure out the rest: how to use it, what to eat, how to train, what to watch for. That leaves a lot of gaps.

The UHD BioHealth protocol model was built to close those gaps. When a patient receives a document that covers treatment, nutrition, movement and monitoring in one place, they have everything they need to approach their protocol with clarity.

The nutrition and movement inclusions are worth noting specifically. Most clinical protocols do not include these. At UHD BioHealth they are standard because the outcome of any health intervention is shaped significantly by how you eat and how you move during the protocol period.

Care regardless of whether you proceed

Every patient who comes through UHD BioHealth receives the same thorough process before any payment is made. If the doctor determines treatment is not appropriate, there is no charge and the patient is told clearly why. If the patient reviews the protocol and decides not to go ahead, there is no charge.

The clinical process exists to serve the patient, not to create purchase pressure. This is the standard UHD BioHealth holds itself to for every enquiry.
