Our standards

How we keep your care safe.

The standards every UHD BioHealth patient can expect, including who assesses you, how decisions are checked, where anything prescribed is made, how your information is protected, and what to do if something isn't right.

Doctors, not forms

Every patient is assessed by an AHPRA-registered doctor. Clinical decisions are made independently by a team of six doctors at our partner medical practice, and nothing is prescribed without their approval. You can ask for your doctor's name and registration number at any time and check it on the public AHPRA register.

A thorough assessment

Your questionnaire is an in-depth health assessment, not a quick form. Around ten sections cover your goals, current symptoms, medical and family history, medications and allergies, sleep, training, stress and lifestyle, and a dedicated safety check, so your doctor has the full picture before recommending anything. If you tell us about symptoms that need urgent attention, we tell you straight away to call 000 or see your GP, and your doctor sees that first. Where it's useful, your doctor will recommend blood tests before anything else.

Two independent doctors

A doctor reviews your questionnaire and writes your plan. Before anything is prescribed, a second, independent doctor reviews it and speaks with you by phone or video to do the final checks. If either doctor isn't comfortable, nothing goes ahead.

Every cost before you commit

Your written plan lists every cost, including any script fees and delivery. The questionnaire, review and plan are free, and you only pay if you choose to go ahead. If the prescribing doctor doesn't approve treatment, you're refunded in full.

Made in Australia, for you

Anything prescribed is dispensed by an Australian pharmacy on a prescription written for you. Some treatments are compounded, which means an Australian compounding pharmacy prepares them for you individually. Compounded medicines aren't on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods and haven't been evaluated by the TGA for safety, quality or effectiveness, and your doctor will explain what that means for you. Orders that need it are packed cold for delivery.

Support while you're on it

We stay in touch after your order arrives. You can message us from your private page at any time, and we'll check in before you run low. If you notice anything beyond mild, short-lived effects, stop and tell us, and we'll involve your doctor. For anything serious, call 000.

Your privacy

Your health information is encrypted and stored in Australia, handled under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. It's shared only with the people involved in your care, meaning your doctors, pathology providers and the dispensing pharmacy. We never sell your data. Read our privacy policy.

If something isn't right

Tell us first at admin@uhdbiohealth.com, and we usually reply within one business day. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled it, you can contact the health complaints commissioner in your state or territory. For concerns about a doctor, you can contact AHPRA.

Common questions

Can I find out who my doctor is?

Yes. You can ask for your doctor's name and AHPRA registration number at any time, and check it yourself on the public AHPRA register.

What happens if I have a side effect?

Stop and tell us straight away by replying to any of our emails or messaging us from your page, and we'll involve your doctor. For anything serious, such as chest pain, trouble breathing, severe swelling or feeling faint, call 000.

What if the doctor doesn't approve my treatment?

Then nothing is prescribed, and if you've already paid, you're refunded in full. Your doctor may suggest bloodwork first, or seeing your GP, and will explain why.
